My audience is my teachers and peers, past and future, who seek interest in reviewing any of my published past works. The website could also serve as a location for my works to be found by future students, looking for academically written essays. The tone would be professional but warm, because I want anyone looking through a portfolio of my past work to be engaged. If my tone is too formal or professional I think my writing is harder for any reader to relate to, or open up to understanding, which is my purpose therein of writing with such a tone. The genre for my website is similar to an academic journal, the portfolio will be a collection of my academic publications.
